Frequently Asked Questions
about ISOPOL Firearms Shooting Ranges

Q. Who is FRASA, and who is FRASA International?
A. FRASA (FRAtelli SAlabé), is a family business and privately owned company established in 1953.  FRASA  has been a leading General Contractor in Italy and abroad for nearly fifty years.

With over 30 years of experience in building firearms ranges, FRASA has become a leader in the design and construction of shooting ranges.  Today, FRASA is the  successful supplier of  more than 60 fully operational shooting ranges.   FRASA's head quarters are situated in Rome, Italy.

Among its many achievements and patents, FRASA is proud to be the recipient of the coveted ISO 9002:1994 Standard.

FRASA International is the newly established international export marketing  arm responsible for the development and administration of FRASA's export markets. FRASA INTERNATIONAL is situated in Switzerland.

Q. What type of ammunition am I allowed to shoot in an ISOPOL firearms shooting range?
A. ISOPOL firearms shooting range is certified up to 7.62 and 5.56 NATO Calibres.

Q. What are the dimensions available?
A. ISOPOL firearms shooting range is modular and can be installed in a variety of denominations.  These include 4 to 10 shooting lanes, and shooting distance between 10 yards and 100 yards ( 9.14 m to 91.44 m).

Q. My range was closed down because of environmental issues.
A. This is a common problem because of new stricter regulations governing lead pollution.  ISOPOL's "Total Containment" concept provides the solution.  ISOPOL firearms shooting ranges exceed EPA and OSHA standards in the prevention of lead and noise pollution.

Q. Where can I see an ISOPOL range?
A. FRASA International can arrange a visit.  FRASA suggests you visit two ISOPOL ranges, one built recently and the other built 12 years ago.  Both ranges are located in Italy and are fully operational.

Q. What training and support is available?
A. FRASA will train your staff in the use of the range and the operation of the electronic target system.  All Australasian clients who purchase an ISOPOL firearms shooting range will also receive a free Police Approved, Government Accredited Certificate IV in Security Firearms Instructor Course, and a free Safety Range Master Training Program.  Technical support is available by FRASA International and its authorised distributors.

Q. What target system can I expect to find in my ISOPOL firearms shooting range?
A.
ISOPOL shooting firearms ranges offer  4 levels of training including PRISim live fire interactive simulation.

ISOPOL, in conjunction with its international commercial development, established a worldwide business alliance with NITOR Group, an experienced "turnkey" worldwide contractor noted for their design, construction and operation of firearms training complexes for Law Enforcement, Military and Special Forces.

NITOR is an AIS (Advanced Interactive Systems) Company. AIS has designed, and currently supplies the PRISim System as an option with the ISOPOL Range. PRISim is acknowledged as the leader in interactive simulation providing the best "Judgmental Training" (SHOOT NO SHOOT) currently available.

By integrating the PRISim System with the ISOPOL Range, you will be able to provide 4 different levels of training in your range complex, including:

The use of conventional marksmanship training coupled with the most advanced shoot-no shoot simulations, (utilizing both live fire and simulated tactical situations) makes the ISOPOL firearms shooting range a fully equipped firearms training academy!

Safecity Training Academy is nationally accredited and police approved in Australia to conduct licensing courses for security industry firearms instructors and firearms accreditations training shoots for armed guards.

Q. What warranty does FRASA offer on the ISOPOL firearms shooting range?
A. ISOPOL firearms shooting ranges come with a 12 months warranty.  A maintenance program is available at an extremely low price.  ISOPOL ranges are tough, durable and very reliable.  With the exception of  the prescribed periodical maintenance service, and minor repairs to equipment due to wear and tear, your ISOPOL range will provide you with years of trouble free performance.  Decontamination maintenance is conducted by FRASA's trained specialists at a very reasonable cost.

Q. How long will it take before I can get delivery?
A. Depending on demand, your ISOPOL firearms shooting range should be ready for delivery between 120 and 150 days.  Once delivered, your ISOPOL firearms shooting range will take only 7 days to install!

Q. Can I start using the ISOPOL firearms shooting range as soon as it is installed?
A. This largely depends on where you are located.  In Australia, you will be required to lodge an application and comply with local Government regulations.  The process is complex and time consuming.  Depending on which State you are located, it can take up to three months before your range is accredited.   Safecity consultants will be able to assist you throughout the range accreditation process.

If the range is installed in countries other than Australia, the process can be significantly easier and faster.

In all cases, ISOPOL firearms shooting ranges comply fully with International requirements, including Australia's stringent standards.

Q. What precautions have you put in place to minimise the risk of fire?
A.  ISOPOL was engineered to operate in high fire risk areas such as those found in Southern Europe.  All outside structures are made of steel-these includes the roof, the underside and the outside walls.  Inside the range ISOPOL uses materials which are Class 1 Fireproof.   The floor and the sound insulation material is also Class 1 Fireproof.

Q. What is involved in relocating an ISOPOL Range?
A.  Because of its modular structure, ISOPOL can be moved to other locations.  This is a clear advantage over the traditional fixed range.  Moving an ISOPOL range involves disassembly and reassembly of the modules.

This task should should only be performed by ISOPOL's approved technical staff.  Your ISOPOL representative will be happy to help you apply for the necessary permits and relocate the range.   This service is provided at extremely reasonable prices.
