- Environmental lead contamination from fired bullets is another firing related hazard. Bullet retaining targets and collection of embedded lead are some of the few solutions.
- Noise pollution due to discharge of firearms is a serious health and hearing related Shooting range hazard. Use of sound proof firing chambers and multiple ear protections are preferred solutions.

- A shooter must be 21 years of age for handgun shooting and minimum 18 years old to shoot a rifle.
- A child who is 12 years old can shoot both if he or she is accompanied by parent or legal guardian
- NO food or drinks of any kind are usually permitted on the Shooting range.
- In United States, a shooter does not need a license or advanced training for using a shooting range.
- Typical fees for using indoor public shooting ranges start at $10 per hour. However, it may vary widely with local costs.
